This dialog box used to change various parameters that are global for whole
DM2000 application. Its controls are grouped on three tabs: General properties,
View properties and Data Window properties.
General properties:
Calibration table - display properties of the installed calibration table
used by Table() internal function.
Special windows - you may prefer to have separate taskbar icon for these
windows in floating state (important for low resolution monitors), and
sometimes it's convenient to turn off drag-n-dock features.
Script timeout - set timeout property of the script engine used by Script
Window.
MetaBase provider - select active provider library and configure its
properties (if any).
Experiment monitor - configure connection properties for TCP/IP experiment
server applications.
View properties:
Main window background - you may use background images in the main
window.
Toolbar background - toolbars may have own background. Notice that both
images must have BMP format.
Show toolbars - allows you to control visibility of the separate toolbars
on the main toolbar, status line and hints.
Starting from build #102 DM2000 includes support for "themes",
or "skins". "Skin" is a simple text file that describes
color, font and background attributes of visual objects. Application
properties dialog box allows you to create or select skin file. Note that
attributes of the individual controls are not remembered - you may only
apply skin file as a whole. Several background bitmaps are included in the
samples.zip archive.
Data Window properties:
General options - control various parameters of data
windows.
Initial view - select initial window state for newly created data windows.
Template - allows you to use preconfigured template desktop for data
window creation.
Use context-sensitive help (F1 key and [?] button) to get
more detailed information about controls.
Note that if you check "Save on Exit" flag, DM2000
configuration will be saved in the system registry, including options from this
dialog box, main window toolbars, windows layouts and
some other options.
