Transformation tool is extremely convenient if you need to:
move points (serie as a whole or only points from the selected plot
region);
manually find expression form and parameters of desirable curve
transformation.
This window dynamically modifies serie
expression properties and provides to you visual feedback when parameters
values are changed (you may check Auto apply flag or click Apply button).
Transformation tool has two modes:
Linear translation mode - point coordinates are simply multiplied by some
factor and shifted. This feature may very convenient when you need to
arrange several curves at the single plot. If you have selected some plot
region and properly select data range, only selected points will be moved.
Custom transformation mode - you may use arbitrary expressions. Special track bars
allow you easily vary two special parameters - P1 and P2. See expression
syntax for more information. Note that if current serie has nonempty
expressions you will get message and then immediately enter Custom mode.
When you finish curve transformation you may retain serie expressions or
recalculate worksheet data (if you check "Calculate" flag before
clicking OK button). It should be mentioned that DM2000 has another powerful
tool for moving points: visual curve translation mode supported directly by
DM2000 graphic engine (see Plot tools for more
details).
